Walk of Life.

This song, by Dire Straits, I have decided... is my favourite song of all time. I requested it to be the last song at my 18th birthday party, for personal reasons, the day before we had buried my wonderful grandmother, 2 days before that I had turned 18 and it all made sense. I hadn't told my Dad about this, so when the DJ announced this was the last song of the night and the instant that that first note was played my Dad and I turned to each other both with tears in our ears and we danced, we danced like absolute crazy, he knew why I had chosen it and it's a moment I will never forget in my life, being their with my mum, dad, brother and sister and the rest of my family, dancing, celebrating and also grieving at the same time... a bizarre feeling but an utterly wonderful moment of understanding..
